Lori Goodman uses natural materials such as bamboo to make the framework for her pods, and she makes her own kozo paper from the bark of Japanese mulberry trees. I love the way she stretches the paper to create the pods. It’s amazing how strong kozo paper can be. These peculiar pods seem alive to me. Like they could hatch at any moment, don’t you think?

I want some of those pods. And I want to be able to make lovely things like these.
