Artist Baku Maeda has launched a new site www.ribbonesia.com, and it’s amazing. These are some of his origami style animals, made with ribbon. There are many more on the site, so head over there and take a look. I’m so in love!

These are fantastic. I could easily use this idea with the children at school – using strips of coloured paper instead of ribbon.Great post – thanks.

My goodness, the creativity behind these just blow my mind. I would’ve never have thought that such fab shapes, creatures could be made from folding ribbon. Amazing! My faves are the fox and the dog :)

Thanks for all your comments! Ribbonesia is such a unique concept and I love it to bits, glad you all do too. I might just try making that cute little seal with strips of paper – good idea John!
