handmade lace washi ornament

After visiting Chiaki Morita’s papermaking studio in Japan and seeing how she magically turns pulp into intricate works of art we knew we had to bring some back for show and tell. Chiaki Morita lovingly handcrafts these beautiful washi ornaments. They make pretty window decorations; a fine mist on glass and they will stick to the surface and easily peel off too. Chiaki says they can also be used in gift wrapping, as hanging ornaments, or really fancy coasters but we might just frame ours and admire them as handmade works of art. There are two designs to choose from and both measure approximately 140mm in diameter. Please note: Due to the handmade nature of these ornaments no two pieces are exactly the same.
