UruWashi is a series of desk objects designed by paper artist Joerg Gessner and handmade by artisans at Sugihara Washi Co. in Japan. This foldable tray is part of the series and it’s made from handmade Japanese washi that is coated in natural Urushi lacquer – an ancient Japanese finishing method dating back 9000 years. Each piece is original, no two are alike. This tray folds and unfolds and is perfect for resting pens, brushes and other stationery bits and pieces. When standing the tray measures 27cm x 90cm and is handmade in Japan.
